Buy TZA (see disclaimer above)
The TNA upchannel was confirmed today. Three signals rang at the closing bell: BUY THE GAP (i.e. today's gap...too late!), DEMAWT NEXT DAY CP, & TRIN WILLIAMS TOP REVERSAL 2 BAR UPTHRUST BUY TZA. The CP would suggest that one should speed away with any TZA profits.

Leave it to the kids to bring cool back to sailing. These little dudes, and chicks, too (bonus!), are rockin’ the house, hard water style with their Opti rigs mounted on some ice boats. Almost makes you wanna move to a northern clime, don’t it!? (Dan Hearn)
Mixed Signals: Take TNA Profits
Four signals flashed at the end of the trading day: DEMAWT TZA BUY, TNA HAMMER SHOOTING BUY TNA, TRIN RED/WHITE CANDLE BUY TNA & TNA CV FOSC NEXT DAY 2 OF CHANNEL. TNA profits were taken before the weekend and an ELT was established for the failed T WILLIAMS TOP REVERSAL 2 BAR UPTHRUST signal. If the DEMAWT TZA BUY signal is wrong, it appears that we are in an TNA up channel (number Y36). The 1930s Manoil soldier will be on the lookout.

Buy TNA (updated)
Four signals flashed: TICK/TRIN OPEN SELL TZA, PLUS/MINUS ALTERNANS BUY TNA, DEMA TRINTOP TNA BUY, & T WILLIAMS TOP REVERSAL 2 BAR UPTHRUST BUY TZA. Despite the conflicting last signal it was elected to buy TNA, since there was no TNA upleg to reverse. If TNA rises tommorrow, an ELT will be warranted for the latter indicator.
Hopefully the yellow-rumped warbler will bring us a yellow day.

Buy TNA (updated)
It was another low TNA candle-volume day (0). An ELT was added for the NEXT DAY OPEN-HIGH FOR >3% signal. The TZA BUY/TNA SELL signals "won" in the end, so ELTs were added for the VIX DEMARKER TNA BUY & THE VIX DEMARKER MOVE BUY TNA signals. Throughout the last half hour of trading today, multiple TNA BUY signals flashed. At the end of the day 4 signals flashed: DEMAWT NEXT DAY CP, DEMA TRINTOP TNA BUY,
TICK/VIX TOP REVERSAL BUY TNA & to confuse matters, TRIN SHOOTING TZA BUY. Tommorrow may be another whipsawing low candlevolume consolidation day. Take profits and fly away...

Doobeed by Dubai
Yeah... there's a reason for the disclaimer...Two successive up days puts us into up yellow TNA channel number Y35. ELTs were put into place for the 3 failed TZA buy signals and the 2 failed DEMAWT NEXT DAY CP Signals. Six signals flashed by the end of the day including: VIX DEMARKER MOVE BUY TNA, VIX DEMARKER TNA BUY, NVIDEMAWT TNA SELL (it utilizes the 1 YEAR NEGATIVE VOLUME INDEX),TRIN DEMARKER TZA BUY, VIX HAMMER BUY TZA, and NEXT DAY OPEN-HIGH FOR >3%. The latter signal suggests that one could wait for tommorrows open. Whichever of the two ETFs opens higher (TNA or TZA) should go up at least 3% more before it settles back down. For now..a Doobeed Brown Booby...

Who was the 1575th visitor?
It was someone from Denison, Texas. Could it be Spanky? George Robert Phillips "Spanky" McFarland (October 2, 1928 – June 30, 1993) was an American actor most famous for his appearances in the Our Gang series of short-subject comedies of the 1930s and 1940s. The Our Gang shorts were later popular after being syndicated to television as The Little Rascals. Prior to joining the Our Gang comedies, Buddy, as he was called by his family, modeled children's clothing for a Dallas department store and also was seen around the Dallas area on highway billboards and in print advertisements for Wonder Bread. This established "Buddy" early on in the local public's eye as an adorable child model and provided experience before cameras. In January 1931, in response to a trade magazine advertisement from Hal Roach Studios in Culver City, California, requesting photographs of "cute kids," Spanky's Aunt Dottie (Virginia's sister) sent pictures from Buddy's portfolio. An invitation for a screen test soon arrived, which happened that spring, leading to his acting career. After his discovery at the age of three, he instantly became a key member of the Our Gang children's comedy movie series and one of Hollywood's stars. His earliest films show him as an outspoken toddler, grumpily going along with the rest of the gang. His scene-stealing abilities brought him more attention, and by 1935 he was the de facto leader of the gang, often paired with Carl "Alfalfa" Switzer, and always the enterprising "idea man." Switzer's character became as much of a scene stealer as the young McFarland was, and the two boys' fathers fought constantly over screen time and star billing for their children. Following the 1938 Our Gang short Came the Brawn, McFarland "retired" from Our Gang, beginning a personal appearance tour.[3] In mid-1938, Hal Roach sold the Our Gang unit to Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, who began casting for a new "team leader" character in Spanky's vein and ended up rehiring McFarland himself. He remained in the MGM Our Gang productions until his final appearance in the series, Unexpected Riches, in 1942 at age thirteen. In 1952, at age 24, McFarland joined the U.S. Air Force. Upon his return to civilian life, indelibly typecast in the public's mind as "Spanky" from Our Gang, he found himself unable to find work in show business. He took less glamorous jobs, including work at a soft drink plant, a hamburger stand, and a popsicle factory. In the late 1950s, when the Our Gang comedies were sweeping the nation on TV, McFarland hosted an afternoon children's show, "Spanky's Clubhouse," on KOTV television in Tulsa, Oklahoma.[wiki]

Buy TZA
Disclaimer see above. TNA went up today. An ELT was added to yesterday's FOSC EMV BUY TZA signal. Four signals flashed at the end of trading today: TRIN DEMARKER BUY TZA, DEMAWT BUY TZA (formula 1), DEMAWT BUY TZA (formula 4), and DEMAWT NEXT DAY CP. The latter signal suggests that one should take any TZA profits and run on Monday. Thus, the 1930's Cast Iron Hubley No. 8 Racer.

TZA Channel Continued
ELTs were established for the recent DEMAWT JUMP'N ONE, TNA DEMA TRENDED HARAMI, TNA TRUE HARAMI & the TRIN FOSC NEXT DAY CP signals. A DEMAWT NEXT DAY CP signal flashed for tommorrow along with a VIX HAMMER BUY TNA & a FOSC EMV BUY TZA signal. It was elected to put things on ice & stay in cash during this low TNA Candlevolume (CV) EMV period. Candlevolume readings for the last 4 days have been 0, -32, -1 & 60, respectively. Typical absolute CV readings during strong up or down channels are typically in the hundreds to thousands.

Who was visitor 1560?
It was a returning visitor from Victoria, Australia. Could it be Charles Joseph La Trobe (1801-1875) La Trobe is probably the best known person of Huguenot descendant in Australian history. He was the first Lt-Governor of Victoria, and saw that colony through its difficult early years. His dedicated and high-minded influence on government affairs is only now beginning to be appreciated. His family originated in Languedoc in the South of France. La Trobe's first book, The Alpenstock: Or Sketches of Swiss Scenery and Manners, was published in 1829 and his second, The Pedestrian: A Summer's Ramble in the Tyrol, came out in 1832. As tutor or mentor La Trobe accompanied the dashing young Count Albert de Pourtalès during a tour of America which began in 1832. They visited the chief cities of North America and sailed down the Mississippi to New Orleans, and then toured the prairies with the American author, Washington Irving. According to Irving, La Trobe 'was a man of a thousand occupations; a botanist, a geologist, a hunter of beetles and butterflies, a musical amateur, a sketcher of no mean pretensions; in short, a complete virtuoso; added to which he was a very indefatigable, if not always a very successful, sportsman'.

TZA Channel May Have Ended Today
A 2 day TZA channel may have ended today. Yesterday's JUMP'N ONE SIGNAL is supportive. An ELT was added for yesterday's R FACTOR DEMAWT CALC SAME DAY CP signal. Two Buy TNA signals flashed at the end of trading today: TNA DEMA TRENDED HARAMI & TRUE TNA HARAMI. In addition a TRIN FOSC NEXT DAY CP signal flashed, suggesting that TNA profits should be swiftly taken tommorrow.

Mixed Signals
Three signals flashed at the end of the trading day: R FACTOR DEMAWT CALC SAME DAY CP, R FACTOR DEMAWT CALC SELL TNA & TICK R FACTOR JUMP'N ONE. The first (same day CP signal) may be the best since TZA went up today, TNA went up yesterday and today's TNA Candlevolume EMV (Ease of Movement) calculation was low (-32). The JUMP'N ONE signal would suggest that we have one more day of a TZA channel. The SELL TNA Signal would be an indirect way of supporting this notion. The two sets of signals would suggest opposite positions (TNA vs. TZA, respectively). It was decided to stay in cash. Let's see what comes up on tommorrow's radar.

Take TNA Profits
One signal flashed at the end of the trading session: TRIN HARAMI BUY TZA, suggesting that we are in a CP. The formula for the DEMAWT TRIN HARAMI NEXT DAY CP was reevaluated. Liberalization of the TRIN Candlevolume EMV cut-off to <301, would have just added today as a positive signal. The latter would suggest that Monday will be a CP and not the first day of a new down-channel. If a good TZA position can be established early on Monday, one should run like a bandit with any profits to buy more TNA by the close. Look out for the cops and of course, the disclaimer above. Who was the 1500th visitor?
It was someone from Saratoga, California. Could it be Martin McCarty?
Martin McCarty was born in County Clare, Ireland in 1825 and emigrated about 1846. He was in New Orleans when the Mexican American War broke out and served in the military, remaining in the army until 1849. He came to California and worked in the mines where he reportedly made $20,000 in seven weeks. When Martin McCarty was 27 years old, he married Hannah Barry. They were wed in San Jose about 1852. Hannah Barry was 17 years old, a native of County Wexford, Ireland who had immigrated to the United States and to San Jose a few months earlier. Together they filed for a 320 acre homestead claim in the West Valley and laid out the lots for a little town. The McCarty's named their little town McCartysville and proceeded to sell town lots for interested home builders. They also built a number of buildings themselves which they rented. Unfortunately, the McCarty's soon found themselves in something of a dilemma. They thought their home sites were outside the boundaries of the Quito Rancho. To their dismay, they found when an accurate survey of the Quito Rancho was made, some of their property was included. Adjudicating all of the improper rancho claims through the early California legal systems took several years and the McCarty's were finally able to file a second plat of their little town, which they did in 1862. They were forced to buy the land they had already developed from the legal owners of the land grant. The McCarty's acquired 128 acres, less than half of their first claim. Martin McCarty was killed in an accident in 1864, leaving his widow with four young children. She continued developing her property even when the name of her town was changed in 1865 from McCartysville to Saratoga. Properties in the little town of Saratoga faced the two streets, Lumber Street and Oak Street. Lumber Street was the business street with stores, hotels, the blacksmith, livery stables and a few residences here and there. Oak Street was much quieter and was the road leading up to the cemetery. The Village School was located on Oak Street along with the Congregational Church, the parsonage and several other homes. It was a quieter and safer street, away from the large lumber wagons that came down the hill from the mills. Hannah McCarty had generously donated some of her Oak Street land as a permanent site for the Saratoga school. She established a large vineyard surrounding the school site and built a house on Lomita, over looking her acreage. When she died suddenly in 1893, she had made plans to begin residential development of the vineyard property. Hannah McCarty was only 58 years old when she died, and she did not leave a will. The probate records of her estate reveal the extent of her real estate holdings which included many of the business buildings in Saratoga Village. Over the years she had built a number of stores and residences, and she managed the properties with the help of her son. So for nearly fifty years, Saratoga Village was a reflection of the development interests of the McCarty family. Their town was built into the side of a ravine overlooking picturesque Saratoga Creek. It was just two streets wide and three blocks long, ending at Sixth Street. The village included all of the shops and businesses that were important at the time; the post office, a bank, hotels, several stores, real estate offices, churches and a school. Stay in Cash
Yesterday's DEMAWT JUMP'N ONE signal suggested that today would be the last up day of the channel and that TZA should be bought prior to today's close. However there were mixed signals towards the trading close so a cash position was maintained. Post close the following signals flashed:
TZA WILLIAMS TNA SELL, VIX WILLIAMS SELL TNA, DEMAWT TZA BUY, & VIX DEMARKER TNA BUY. The other TNA BUY signals no longer flashed at the close. An ELT may be necessary for the VIX DEMARKER TNA BUY.
Red Bellied Woodpecker for the next POSSIBLE Down Day.

HOLD TNA...BUY MORE (Updated)

Who was the 1450th visitor?
It was my old compatriot Colonel Norman Wiard. Colonel, your persistence is appreciated. Interesting book you wrote: Wiard, Norman. GREAT GUNS. THE CAUSE OF THEIR FAILURE AND TRUE METHOD OF CONSTRUCTING THEM. NY: 1863. 1st ed., wraps, 98p., illus., diagrams, tables. This pamphlet, written for the government’s edification, documents the failures of the military’s heavy ordnance. These shortcomings would presumably be corrected by the author’s designs. Wiard did design several excellent artillery pieces for the War Department. Inscribed to Union General Nathan P. Banks “MG N. P. Banks”; wrps., in fold. protective bds.; lt. fox; lt. stain; else v.g.; $475.00
CP vs. Move Acuity Measure
Futures are up. Yesterday's JUMP SHIP & CHANNEL START indicator signals would have suggested a switch from TNA to TZA. A formula involving VIX Demarker change, closing price change and daily high-low difference was developed. Values between 900and 1550 occurred during Consolidative Periods (CP). Yesterday read >5000, suggesting that the new channel had already started. The formula may function to identify CP days and as an ELT for days with alot of stock movement. It was elected to stay with the TNA because of the acuity of yesterday's price moves.
