HA Diff Tracks the CCI

Heikin-Ashi is Japanese for 'average bar.'
HA Diff (3) >0.1 is equivalent to a CCI > 100. The CCI itself is a momentum indicator utilizing a measurement of the deviation of typical price from its moving average, normalised to fit on a scale of roughly -250 to +250.
CCI (20) = (Typical Price - 20-period SMA of TP) / (.015 x Mean Deviation)
Typical Price (TP) = (High + Low + Close)/3
Constant = .015
There are four steps to calculating the Mean Deviation. First, subtract
the most recent 20-period average of the typical price from each period's
typical price. Second, take the absolute values of these numbers. Third, sum the absolute values. Fourth, divide by the total number of periods (20).

ZSL vs AGQ Daily Charts

Kagi flashed an AGQ Sell Signal (blue circle). ZSL didn't quite make it (see 2 blue arrows). Short term AGQ has been rallying by Kagi. Three line break and P&F favor ZSL. Neither AGQ nor ZSL are above the cloud, but ZSL is better positioned (within cloud vs. way under). However, ZSL MACD histogram is still negative and the blue ZSL MA < red ZSL MA. ZSL & AGQ are both consolidating on the equivolume charts with declining parallel Aroon lines and negative CCI's. AGQ is hovering around the 138 day (~30 week) MA. Neither are trending as of Friday afternoon.
