The Baltic Dry Index is a daily average of prices to ship raw materials. Dry bulk shipping(DBS) stock performance was compared with TNA for the duration of the January/February 2009 & June/July 2009 Complex NASI Tops. Analysis was performed with inclusion & exclusion of the two worst performing DBS stocks. The DBS stocks outperformed TNA during these two Tops (inclusion analysis: -9.0% vs. -24.5% & exclusion analysis: 1.73% vs. -24.5%).
