A rare copy of the most expensive book in history will go under the hammer today.
Birds of America by John James Audubon is expected to fetch up to £6 million when it goes on sale at Sotheby's auction house in London.
The four-volume illustrated encyclopedia by the renowned 19th Century ornithologist, naturalist and painter was a landmark of natural history.
Rare: A Greater Flamingo, left, and the Golden Eagle, right, are among the intricate sketches in Birds of America
Note: It sold for $11.5 million.
